Cisco Live is the place that the Connected Cisco Store comes to life. At Cisco Live Europe 2020 in Barcelona, the Cisco Store was a destination for Cisco customers, partners, and employees from all over the world to experience the Cisco brand in a unique way. Attendees had the opportunity to to shop all new merchandise and see the latest Bridge to Possible stories come to life on digital screens. They were also given guided tours to see the Cisco + Partner ecosystem at work, helped make an impact in the community, and enjoyed fun events, prizes and giveaways. After an eventful week, we wanted to take some time to recap our time in Barcelona at Cisco Live Europe 2020!

Shop

First and foremost, the Cisco Store at CLEUR was a destination for attendees to shop merchandise, and this year in Barcelona the store carried all new and exciting merchandise offerings. The store featured almost 50 brand new products, including new graphic t-shirts, electronics, drinkware, exclusive Cisco Live merchandise and a limited line for attendees that earned a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Certification. The store also partnered with Cisco Press to sell over a hundred different book titles, covering a wide range of networking and Cisco certification topics.

Learn

Visitors were given a closer look into the Cisco + Partner ecosystem deployed throughout the store on guided tours, led by the Cisco Store team. These tours allowed customers and partners to see technologies that were featured as demos in the World of Solutions in a real and fully operational retail environment. The Cisco Store technology stack featured Meraki cameras and access points, Keonn Smart Fitting room, Cisco DNA Spaces, and Cisco Vision digital signage. Attendees from all industries participated in store tours and had the opportunity to interact with the technology and learn use cases applicable to their own industries.

In addition, for the first time ever, the Cisco Store had a presence on the DevNet Panel, Design Strategy and Innovation at Cisco. This panel discussion, featuring the Cisco Store Global Program Manager Rachael Weiss, leveraged the Cisco Store as a case study for Cisco’s thought leadership in retail, and allowed her to share expertise on how to get started with innovation and digital transformation in any industry.

Impact

Corporate Social Responsibility is important to Cisco, and that extends to the Cisco Store. Every Cisco Live show provides the store an opportunity to make an impact, and this year was no different! At Cisco Live Europe, the store offered customers an opportunity to give back through store purchases. This year’s chosen not for profit company was the international conservation charity World Land Trust. A portion of the proceeds from select purchases were donated to World Land Trust, as well as round up donations at checkout. In total, €1,734 were donated to World Land Trust to ensure conservation of plants, animals and natural communities.

Of course, a huge component of Cisco Live is FUN, and vistors at the Cisco Store at CLEUR enjoyed fun events and won exclusive prizes and giveaways throughout the week. The store hosted seven Meet the Author events with Cisco Press authors, giving attendees the opportunity to have their books autographed and interact with some of their favorite authors. Attendees won prizes for a variety of activities, including taking store surveys, attending the Connected Cisco Store tours, participating in a social media contest, entering a store raffle in partnership with Cisco DNA Spaces, and playing the brand new Scanify amplification game. 

Bringing it all Together

At Cisco Live Europe, the Cisco Store had the opportunity to connect Cisco customers, partners and employees to the Cisco brand in an impactful and fun way, beyond merchandise. Over 10,000 attendees visited the Cisco Store to shop brand new product offerings, learn about Cisco and partner technologies in a living lab, make a positive impact on the environment through donations towards World Land trust, and had a lot of fun along the way!
