Cisco Technology on Display at the U.S Women’s Open

December 10th-13th marks the 75th annual playing of the U.S Women’s Open Championship. Throughout this historic and celebratory golf event, Cisco technology will be enabling the USGA to deliver a one-of-a-kind virtual championship to fans around the world. As the official technology partner of the USGA, Cisco will showcase how Cisco technology begins with connection, leads to inspiration, drives participation, and ultimately leads to business and industry transformation.
During the event, innovative Cisco technology will be front and center in connecting partners, media and fans to all the action at the U.S. Women’s Open. Following the success at the U.S. Open, many fan engagement activations will be enhanced to show off the capabilities of Webex by Cisco technology. Check out the main ways Cisco will be showcasing Webex technology below:
- Virtual Media Center- Powered by Webex Events, the U.S. Women’s Open Media Center will be going virtual, bringing press conferences and interviews to hundreds of media outlets around the world each day.
- Fan Boards: Fans will get the chance to be virtually integrated into the 1st tee experience through Webex – providing “On the Tee” messages for Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds, as well as live fan galleries during Championship play! This will also feature special guests through the “Join me on the 1st Tee” Social Campaign. Celebrities, Athletes and Golf Influencers will also be joining fans on the board to interact between tee times!
- Virtual Meet and Greets: Fans will have the chance to ask some of their favorite female golfers a question and receive a signed piece of memorabilia during virtual meet and greet opportunities.
- Champion Family Webex: Finally, at the end of the tournament, the new U.S. Women’s Open champion will be greeted by their family and former U.S. Women’s Open Champions via Webex for a post- round celebration.
